I got back from Cali on Tuesday night after a week of sun, dogs, sea lions, wine and fun. Needless to say, I loved it. I flew into San Francisco last Tuesday and stayed with my aunt about an hour out side of the city. We went to Sonoma, did water aerobics (with lots of old lades, but it was fun!), saw movies, played with her dogs, went to Berkley and the city, and spent a day going to Monterey, Carmel and 17 mile drive. Google it. It’s beautiful.
While in Berkley we went to Stash. A cute little yarn store with lots of beautiful sock yarns, even some dyed only for them! Of course I bought some.
The colorway is Orange Spice. It’s adorable. Dyed just for the store. Apparently they have more colors, but this was the last skein, hiding in the back corner behind lots of other sock yarn. This yarn was the whole reason for going to Stash, so it was meant to be.
These are Shi Bui knits sock yarn, and I love them! This picture isn’t true to the color at all. In person it’s a much richer color of teal, and beautiful. I can’t wait to make these socks. I don’t know what pattern I’m going to use yet, but I’ll figure it out.
I’ve got a ton of projects going on how. Mainly birthday socks, but there’s also a mystery brown thing that I’ll post pictures of later. Good times, really. Time for me to get back to knitting the far too many things I need to finish ASAP. Have a good Memorial Day weekend and HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!!!
